Radio 2 collection

25 Mar 2020

This turned out to be my final Pause for Thought on BBC Radio 2. I took some pleasure that sitting next to me was Jeremy Clarkson, who is not exactly known for using words wisely.

In the world of COVID-19, this feels particularly poignant – how can we take the next step, even when we can’t see the whole staircase?

Admitting on national radio that I used to misappropriate expenses wasn’t easy, but it felt right in the context of talking about the challenges we all face when trying to do the right thing.

This was my first Pause for Thought. Little did I know that this would set me off on a remarkable two years of being a contributor on the show. What are you: an adder, subtractor, or multiplier?
