Quoting someone is an act of humility, honouring and celebrating their ability to say something better than you

If you can’t have a quote keyword with a quote about quoting people, then I’m going home! In all seriousness, I have seen some criticism online of people (including me) who quote others, as though it is an exercise of ego, or trying to seem clever. On the contrary, I believe we only quote people because they are able to articulate something in a way that we admire. When we quote them, we lift them up and their ability – hence, it is an act of humility.
